Super tech mini L servo, this is a smaller servo than standard but it still has four fixing holes, the rated power is 3.6k @ 4.8v, 4.4K @ 6v which is quite powerful for a servo that costs less than £10.
Overall size L35, W17 ,H27. servo comes with Futaba plug. I bought these from » Steve Webb servo shop, but I notice that on the packaging they are distributed by J. Perkins.

Blink Knobs. reviewed by Andy Sharam

Suffering from dead thumb and in my case a large multi pointed dent in the thumb after about five minutes flying especially in the cold weather. Then get some Blink Knobs, they just screw on the sticks and give you a much cushier feel without dead thumb.

I am trying them and after a dodgy start I think I like them. I did rough the tops up with a bit of wet and dry to give some grip. That said, they are the envy of the pit lane a lot of taking the ribbing from the senior members but I know they want some, they are so street cred man. I even took them to Sainsburys for the Sunday night cruise lit the place up, they really catch the neon lights, had a ten girls follow me home.

Get them from » Blink Helicopters Telephone: 01258 820009 or EBay Blinktrading.

Robart Model Stand. reviewed by Andy Sharam

After fighting with my models [balsa ones] on the bench and incurring the all too often damage when the model decides to keel over I thought I should do something about it.

Looking around I saw this Robart model stand, this was the thing I thought but at £18 from » Slough Radio Control Models my wallet was seen to be closing in my pocket faster than the woolworths chain. Easy I thought make one and after scanning the garage, the loft and the next door neighbours weely bin [ often a source of surprising goodies] I came to the descision that with the materials I had at hand and the design that I came up with I would need to buy a car trailor to carry it around.

So after much soul searching I decided to go mad and buy this thing.

When the postman delivered it I thought that I had bought an empty box, but opening it up there it was, I was still sceptical £18 for that I felt ashamed and wondered whether I could hold my head up at the next club meeting, anyway I assembled it up and hating it so much [it made me feel cheap]. I decided to try it. Well onto the bench and the first model on, lovely, did some work, model stayed put.

Try a different model no adjustments to the stand needed, the stupid thing does that for you and with the rubber pads grips the job nicely. Working for half an hour on the model I found that I didnt look like the hunchback of Noteradam [been there but can't spell it] and my back seems fine. Of course the model is now at a comfortable height, never thought of that before.

This product is expensive for what you get but I wish I had bought one ages ago.
